I’m hoping to keep my newsletters short, interesting, and varied – the kind of newsletter I like to read. I expect it will follow the erratic desire lines of my brain and gallop off in many directions – an amalgam of cities, walking, messy urbanism, history, writing, and copyediting, with occasional forays into other random topics. Come gallop off in all directions with me!
The Sneak Peek
As an editor and writer, I often get the chance to get a sneak peek into something that isn’t public yet – the next issue of Spacing, a book I am copyediting, maybe a City program that’s in the works.
The sneak peek will give you a little preview into something interesting that’s coming soon.
The Tidbit
An acquaintance once told me that I am an endless fount of intriguing but useless information.
The tidbit will be a place to share something I’ve read, seen, or heard that I found fascinating. It might be related to my work, or it might be completely out of the blue. I hope it will intrigue – and perhaps, occasionally, be useful too.
What’s Up
In What’s Up, I’ll share something I’ve been up to – a project I’m working on, an article I’ve published, an event I’ve attended. It will likely relate to my work, but occasionally it might be something personal but of wider interest.
Quotable
It’s always a pleasure to come across an insight expressed in just the right way. Here’s where I’ll share some that resonate with me.
Pic Pick
This will be a photo I’ve picked, usually one I’ve taken related to thinking about cities, but perhaps sometimes something else, along with a brief thought about the ideas the image inspires.
